Use a direct downloadable share
The server must be able to retrieve the file without an interactive login or expiring page-only session.
Keep links private
Use the narrowest practical share and remove it after import when your provider supports revocation.
Test one file first
Confirm provider behaviour, filename and size before submitting a large list.
Verify import status
A pasted URL is not proof of arrival; check the resulting asset record and progress state.
